Ace - Fighting Type Gym Leader - Pokemon

After creating my gym leader, I decided to get some friends and make them into gym leaders of their favorite Pokemon type. What I really enjoyed about this character design is when making a Gym Leader, I incorporate color schemes and elements for the character's Pokemon team. That is one of my favorite parts of character design, is being able to tell a story and symbolize certain personality aspects thought just their clothes or how they look. I also enjoyed creating the environment and exploring the layout process of the Pokemon to make sure it is all readable to the eye. For this gym leader, he's in a classic MMA/Fighting cage ring. I even added the fighting type symbol on the ground. I especially like the lighting process for this drawing, I try to push myself to explore outside the box when it comes to lighting my drawings and creating the shadows.
